Analyzing protest mobilization on Telegram: the case of 2019 Anti-Extradition Bill movement in Hong Kong

Working with the data included here would require basic background in computational social science (e.g., API data retrieval, computational text analysis and network science). Data Edgelist: Due to the volume of the data (and thus large size of the file) we recommend opening it not manually in Excel but rather programmatically in one of the environments of choice (e.g., using R/Python/Stata/SPSS, etc.)
Additional documentation: Details on the libraries and methods that researchers can use to rehydrate the released data (i.e., to retrieve the channel/group screennames and the full text of the messages based on the channel/group and message IDs released with the dataset).
